Preparing for Your Visit

To save time, complete your new-patient registration forms before arriving. Refractive consultations include a full comprehensive dilated exam.
These visits should be expected to last approximately 1.5 hours and include detailed measurements, corneal imaging, and additional testing to determine the best refractive treatment options. This exam does not include a glasses/contacts prescription.

A few helpful tips:

  • Bring your current glasses and any recent prescriptions.
  • Dilation can cause temporary light sensitivity—consider arranging a driver and bringing sunglasses.
  • If you wear contact lenses, you may need to stop lens use prior to your exam; our team will confirm the timing when you schedule.

Our coordinated refractive care team works efficiently to keep your appointment smooth while ensuring we gather the precise data needed to customize your treatment.

For the comfort of all patients, all Graystone Eye offices are smoke-free.
